A chance to enjoy the parts of Cornwall not often seen. From open moorland trails, to tight nadgery tracks and a jaw droppingly scenic cliff top run, it's always a pleasure to be riding in Cornwall. The navigation is not too tricky and the terrain will suit most riders. It is big bike friendly for competent riders.

The event will take place from the Fire and Flow Coffee House (what3words are ///pickle.reception.mild). This is easily accessible from the A417. The Cafe is going to open 30 mins early just for us at 0830 so please make sure you grab a fresh coffee or slice of cake from the team there. The route is 146km of what I believe to be the best trails in the Cotswolds. If you can, pair up with someone else as there are a number of gates unfortunately on this route, many of which are easier with two people. There are some quite tricky descents, a number of steep climbs, plenty of ruts and a fair few streams to keep you occupied. All but one stream are shallow enough to not worry you. I’ll let you figure out which one is the deep one (its over the top of the boots deep - don’t worry there is a go round!). Please do take note of the SAFETY WAYPOINT, at 61.36km. If you ignore the safety waypoint and continue on you will be DSQ. The best of the technical trails are before this point, with the trails after this point being much faster more open tracks. Parking at the event is plentiful. For those with vans, please park on the right at the bottom of the slope past the cafe. For those with trailers we are allowed to use the huge concrete pan in front of the industrial units at the bottom of the slope. Please park considerately not to block any access to units, although they are closed on Sundays. Please do not park directly outside the coffee house. The start point is opposite the benches by the coffee house. You will need to sign on with myself in the morning to ensure we comply with the ACU permit in place for this event. I will be on site by the benches around 0800-0815. The event will start at 0900. The cutoff to the safety wp is at 1315hrs. The cafe closes at 4pm, I would hate for you all to miss out on coffee and cake at the end too. Riders will be expected to be leaving in pairs every other minute. You will need to log into the TRBP app and download the route in advance of Sunday. You will then not be able to access the roadbook until Sunday am when I will give you the access code at time of sign in. Please make sure you also have a working SIM in the tablet to allow for seamless user experience and monitoring by the Xplore team. Please can you contact me direct if you use a different email address for the TRBP login than you did when registering for the event. I will need to update Matt at TRBP to ensure you can indeed get logged in. We have a number of marshals and a photographer about the course tomorrow so I thank them for their time. I also thank each of you for supporting XPLORE ROADBOOKS on this first event, this one being held in partnership with THE ROADBOOK PROJECT. The website and related processes needs some work but the route and the app is superb. Looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday Kind Regards, Tim and Matt
